The line has to split it. Both sides of the line must contain part of the shape — a line that misses, or that leaves one side empty, is void.

Daily gives everyone the same shape and one cut — it is the cut that stands on the board, and coming back redraws it. Infinite keeps drawing new shapes, one at a time: cut, undo, re-cut as you like. Archive replays any past date — you can see its board, and your cut on it if you made one.
Keyboard: focus the board, then arrow keys move the cut cursor (hold Shift for fine steps). Enter or Space marks the cut's start point; move the cursor and press Enter or Space again to make the cut — a line from the start point to the cursor. Escape cancels. The same works with a drag on screen.
